For as long as I can remember I have always expressed myself through the arts. Molding objects out of clay or interpreting the world through painting seems to flow naturally.
My clay work is inspired by natural forms. I enjoy pushing the medium until it evolves into a pleasing shape. Texture and color are used to enhance and compliment the shapes. Currently, I am working as a pottery instructor for Orange Street Pottery, Wilmington, NC
With painting, I love taking this mediim to the edge of reality and then just stepping slightly over that edge without losing the identity of the objects.
Creating is so much fun and so rewarding. I can't imagine an existence without it.
